‘DonateLife… the greatest gift’ Campaign

Australian Multicultural Foundation DonateLife banner

‘DonateLife… the greatest gift’ is a community education campaign for people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities that aims to increase family discussion about organ and tissue donation wishes. It’s an important conversation to have. One organ and tissue donor can transform the lives of 10 or more people and, on average, 1,600 Australians are on transplant waiting lists at any one time.
This campaign is dedicated to providing culturally appropriate information to different communities about organ and tissue donation. This will enable more Australians to make an informed decision about whether they wish to become an organ and tissue donor and to discuss this decision with their family.

The Organ and Tissue Authority has produced a number of resources as part of the ‘DonateLife… the greatest gift’ campaign. These materials have been developed through a process of consultation with religious and cultural leaders for people of Buddhist, Catholic, Orthodox, Hindu, Islamic and Jewish faith. These resources are also available in Arabic, Chinese (traditional), Greek, Italian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Turkish and English.
