It is with great sadness to hear of the sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague Stefan Romaniw OAM. Stefan was an Australian champion for humanity and multiculturalism and his services and amazing contributions to the Australian community will never be forgotten. Stefan’s many legacies will live on in all of us forever.
Stefan’s work to strengthen multiple facets of multiculturalism in Victoria and throughout Australia as Executive Director of Community Languages Australia, former Chair of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, Chair of Multicultural Arts Victoria and the Victorian Government’s Australia Day Committee to name a few will live on through our resilience and cohesion as a society. Most importantly, Stefan’s representation of and advocacy on behalf of the Ukrainian people will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts are with Anastasia and family and wish them every strength during this difficult time.
A great mentor to many and a pillar of strength in challenging times.
