We are pleased to welcome Katrina Scaramella as our new Project, Research, and Training Manager. Katrina will be based at our Carlton office in a full-time capacity, working with Lynn Cain on designing and implementing a range of our projects, programs, and research.
Katrina comes to the AMF from Canberra where she built her early career experience in the ACT Government as a policy professional. Prior to her professional career, Katrina participated in multiple youth leadership programs with the AMF during her university studies and has recently worked with the AMF in a casual capacity.
Katrina has a passion for empowering grassroots approaches to Australia’s complex social issues. In particular, Katrina is driven by issues facing young people, particularly young culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women. Katrina also specialises in improving social cohesion and challenging extremist narratives.
Katrina is most looking forward to developing new and emerging research and programs to strengthen Australia’s multiculturalism. As a young person, she is particularly keen to advocate for issues, solutions, and perspectives facing younger CALD Australians.
We look forward to working with you, Katrina!
